Frequently Asked Questions

All private health facilities operating in Niger State including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, medical laboratories, dental clinics, physiotherapy centres, maternity homes, nursing homes, and specialist clinics must register with NORVAS.

You will need: (1) CAC Certificate of Incorporation, (2) Professional License from relevant regulatory body, and (3) Proof of Address for your facility.

The application fee is ₦15,000 plus ₦1,000 admin charge (total ₦16,000), payable via Remita. Registration fees vary based on facility type. All fees are clearly displayed before payment.

The entire process — from application to license issuance — typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on the completeness of your documents and inspection availability.

After payment confirmation, your application goes under review. You will receive an email notification. Once approved, you proceed to upload required documents and pay the registration fee.

Licenses must be renewed annually before the expiry date. Renewals made after Q1 (January–March) attract late penalty charges. You will receive reminder notifications 30 days before expiry.

All payments are made through Remita — the Federal Government of Nigeria's official payment platform. You can pay via card, bank transfer, or USSD.

You will receive an email explaining the reason for rejection. You can edit your application and resubmit after addressing the issues raised.
